We offer safe, reliable high quality stud rams to qualifying females hosted on our Farm located in Nashville, TN. Our rams are all registered 100% purebred Valais Blacknose sheep that are proven healthy through frequent monitoring by our Vetrinarian team. Our Rams are kept on rotational pastures year round and have great natural parasite resistance. We are so proud of how our rams perform with the ladies we guarantee you a pregnancy when you follow our breeding timing and preparation program.
Safety is our number one concern when breeding. In order to qualify for stud services we require ewes to be health certified, provide a clean fecal sample, maintain a body condition score of 3/5 and have a CDT booster within 30 days prior to arrival on the Farm. Visiting ewes are housed in a spacious barn stall for the duration of their stay where they can be closely monitored, make no contact with any sheep besides their stud ram and are safe from predators.
We have a variety of available genetics here to pick from and we can help you decide which ram might be the best for your needs and flock goals. We are currently offering three rams for service and have the only QR studs available on VBSS in the USA.

With extremely limited genetics, a multitude of global registries and a sea of conflicting information about genetics selecting the right stock, selecting breeding pairs and flock planning for the future can be a daunting task. Whether you’re trying to build a 100% pure flock or working a breeding up program planning for the future and making the right decisions today is critical to success.
If you’d like help planning your flock we’re happy to help you with this process so you can meet your future goals. Reach out to us on social media or via our submission form below for assistance.
We created a proprietary stock and flock management system with an extensive global database that allows us to plan your flock future in a way nobody else can. It's a little tricky to see the details but above we have generated mock pedigree for a future breeding between Kevin and our ewe lamb Greta. Any common relatives are noted in red so it can be easy to spot any redundancy. Also cool- we typically have several more generations of history than your normal registry pedigree.
Next, we calculate the exact inbreeding coefficients for this pair based off of five generations of data. This information is listed on the far left of our breeding prediction and itemizes each contributor %. So in this case we have a five generation inbreeding coefficient of 1.95% by way of Highland King Kong in three paths adding 1.56% and Highland Ursi adding 0.39% in one path. Understanding the inbreeding paths and selecting the right ewes and rams for your flock is critical to success in this rare breed.
Now that we know we like the look of this particular breeding we can compare that Ram to other ewes in our flock and determine if he is a right match for them as well or not, leading to better breeding decisions and lower inbreeding coefficients. We can then replicate this process for their offspring generating years of future results. Our same technology and methodology can be used to assist with ram, ewe or embryo selection when making purchases or considering options for your future flock.
